God’s ‘Little Creatures” – The African Stick Mantid

Just when I thought I had seen the most unusually preymantid’s around in the for of the Eyed-flower Mantid I discovered this little fellow scurrying through the grass at Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve in Yellow Wood Park. Unless these things move, I reckon that it is impossible to see them.

They are totally awesome little predators capturing and eating any insect it is able to subdue.
