Man hijacked in Jacobs

"I froze when I heard the gun cock. It was so out of the blue, so silent. I am still in shock."

A MAN was hijacked in Balfour Road, Jacobs on Wednesday, 19 November.
At about 11.30am the man was approached by three hijackers.

‘I felt something on my rib and I immediately bumped the person away,” said the victim who did not wish to be named.
One hijacker produced a gun and cocked it. “I froze when I heard the gun cock. It was so out of the blue, so silent. I am still in shock,” he said.

Another hijacker grabbed the car keys. The man ran from the car and into a nearby shop.
The hijackers fled with the man’s Polo Vivo and a cellphone.The car was recovered in Umlazi on Wednesday at about 4pm.
“The police were great in recovering my car. Thank you to Wentworth SAP,” he said.
