A FUEL station shop was robbed on Kenyon Howden Road on Monday, 15 November.
At about 8.50pm two men entered the shop posing as customers.
They produced guns and demanded the cashier open the safe. The robbers fled the shop with R8,000 cash.
“I’m upset about the robbery because our staff work so hard. We do have good support from police and security companies in the area, but I’d like to see more visibility of police. Businessmen in the area need to get together to address crime. The petrol station provides a service to the community. When these robberies take place we get demotivated,” said petrol station owner, Mervyn Govender.
