Bingo keeps Bushlands WI entertained
Those who were not well were wished a speedy recovery and the meeting opened with the recital of the women's institute prayer.
YVONNE Munro once again ‘stood in’ as Bushlands Women’s Institute president for Nora Brown, who is on a short visit to Australia.
Kay McKee was welcomed back, and kindly did the judging in the absence of Margaret Everitt, who is also away.
It was noted with regret that Hazel Lochner, a long-serving member and supplier of knitted items for charity, is unable to return to Bushlands. She will be sorely missed.
Marie Brown’s car was side-swiped by a hit-and-run driver, and luckily she didn’t suffer any damage other than to her car.

There were only a few competition entries, which Kay judged. Adult ed: First S White 90, second A Croucamp 84. Floral: First Marlene Jones 80. Best bloom: First Y Munro 100. Members then had a fun game of bingo, after which the meeting closed with the Mary Stewart Collect.
