Doggone fun at Glenardle

GLENARDLE Junior Primary School pupils enjoyed a short talk and demonstration by members of the Bluff Dog Club on Friday morning, 4 December.

The pupils were shown different toys that can used to play with their dogs, how to react to a strange dog and some of the food items that are poisonous to dogs such as chocolate, onions and grapes.

They also enjoyed a display of obedience and the antics of Kathy Drummond trying her best to get Areo and Toffee to break their stays. A short agility display had the pupils cheering and they were wowed by the carting dogs who delivered a treat to each of them. Afterwards the pupils had the chance to meet the dogs and make a big fuss of them.
