Seniors sing along with karaoke queens
It was great to have Ms Cox join the club and hope to see her regularly.
MONTCLAIR Senior Citizens Club thanks Sue Lodico from the Crossroads Community of Christ Church who did a talk on God calling for our devotions.
Sue highlighted the fact that God desires a relationship with us and wants us to respond.
The seniors were then entertained by Stainbank Women’s Institute’s karaoke queens. Linda and Arlene sang some golden oldies hits like Pretty Woman, Lonesome Me, Islands in the Stream, Build Me Up Buttercup, Mull of Kintyre, Dancing Queen and You’re Simply the Best.
They closed off with My Way, which was appropriate as it was very different from their normal shows. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The senior citizens club wishes them well at rebuilding their entertainment group as a lot of their members have sadly moved away.
It was great to have Ms Cox join the club and everyone hopes to see her regularly.
New members are welcome to join the club. Should they have a problem with transport, call Isobel on 031-462-4590 as she will liaise with other members for transport.
The next fun meeting will be on Thursday, 13 July at the Montclair Methodist Church Hall from 9am.
