[COMPETITION CLOSED] Pen a poem about love – and win
AHEAD of Valentine’s Day on 14 February, the South Coast Sun wants to hear from romantic readers.
The Sun is running a poetry competition, in which wordsmiths are called on to record their sentimental, romantic or humous musings around the day which is set aside for Cupids.
The lovely prize is meal voucher to the value of R400 from Grand Rapids Spur on the Bluff.
The winning poem will be published in the Sun’s Valentine feature edition dated Friday, 8 February.

Rules:
- Entrants must be open to being interviewed and having their photograph published in the Sun.
- Submit your poem of no more than 14 lines, ensuring that the work is your own original, creative effort and is not plagiarised.
- The poem can be about any love-related subject, does not necessarily need to rhyme and may be humorous or more serious.
- A panel will make a collective decision in adjudicating the winners. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries close at midnight on 3 February.
