Political parties not doing enough for citizens [LETTER]
I know where my vote is going in 2021.
EDITOR – Where are all these small political parties that were running around during elections?
I take my hat off to councillor JP Prinsloo and his political party. At a national level, I have seen this party proactively making proposals to the president and putting solutions to many challenges on the table. They have set up corruption hotlines, donated R1.7 million in total to support the relief efforts and have opened up channels of communication to keep the public informed. At a local level, there are fair distributions of food parcels and hundreds of meals being provided. And at a provincial level they are fighting for access to Covid-19 information and the fair treatment of children, senior citizens and the vulnerable.
Where are the other parties in all of this, the Economic Freedom Fighters, Freedom Front Plus, Minority Front? Even the ANC have gone silent except for the frequent new reports of corruption around food parcels and donations.
I know where my vote is going in 2021.
