Family relieved to be reunited with missing man
Fanie, as he is affectionately known, was found at a Durban hospital.
THE search for 20-year-old Stephanus Francois Bothma has been called off as he has been found.
Details are still sketchy at the moment but it is believed that he had booked himself into Addington Hospital in Durban a few days ago.
According to his family, he was extremely confused and could only remember his mother’s phone number when he woke up on Thursday, July 22. His mother told the SUN that Thursday morning was the first time that he could speak since being admitted.

“It the first time he was able to tell hospital staff who he is. We were advised that they would be moving him to King Edward VIII Hospital and we are currently on our way to KZN,” she said.
She added that she hopes to get Fanie, as he is affectionately known, transferred to a private hospital.
“Once he is moved, we will take it from there. But we are not too worried because the Lord is on our side and I am thankful that my child is safe,” she said.
Over the week, the family’s spokesperson, Melissa Odendaal made a missing persons post on Facebook and appealed for users to share the information.
