BCA celebrates literacy and spring

Classes from Grade R to 11 used the day's first lesson to enjoy a book.

HERE, there and everywhere. This is the strength of the imagination reading provides.

To celebrate Literacy Week, which runs from Tuesday, September 7 to Monday, September 13, Bluff Christian Academy encouraged learners to immerse themselves in books.

“We instill in our learners how important reading is for everyone. National Read a Book Day was on Monday, September 6, so we decided to make Wednesday, September 8, our read-a-book day.

“All the classes from Grade R to 11 took the first lesson of the day to sit at their desk and read quietly. Even educators were seen reading a book,” said the school’s marketer, Michelle Killian.
