Bluff precinct plan public meeting
The meeting will focus on eThekwini Municipality’s ongoing planning process to identify the key development issues and solutions within the so-called Bluff precinct areas.
BLUFF residents are invited to attend a public community meeting at the Bluff National Golf Club (100 Club Drive, Bluff) on Monday, November 8.
The meeting will focus on eThekwini Municipality’s ongoing planning process to identify the key development issues and solutions within the so-called Bluff precinct areas.
The focus is on the Gray’s Inn and Tara Road areas.
The process will include various interactions with the community to understand current challenges and also present emerging proposals to improve the civil functioning of the precinct area in terms of traffic, services infrastructure, social and economic facilities, conservation, and recreation.
The planned interactions with the community will continue until the first quarter of 2022 when the plan will be completed.
During the open day, the appointed consultants will exhibit some of the initial findings and proposals impacting the precinct and be available to answer any questions relating to the process of this planning project and its intended outcomes.
“We also hope to use the opportunity to hear from community members what their experienced challenges and/or proposals for the area might be,” said ward 66 councillor Zoe Solomon.
All persons entering the venue will be required to wear a mask, sanitise, provide contact details, and their temperature will be taken. The number of persons allowed into the venue at any one time will also be monitored and managed to keep to social distancing protocols.
For those who may not be able to attend the open day and presentation, there will be an opportunity to also attend an online public meeting on Thursday, November 11 via Zoom from 17:00 to 18:30. The same findings and emerging proposals, exhibited at the open day, will also be presented and community members asked for inputs via an online questionnaire.
