Montclair man (80) assaulted in house robbery
The man was reported to have been at home with his grandchildren when they were allegedly attacked.
AN ELDERLY man was allegedly assaulted during a house robbery in his Montclair home on Thursday, November 11.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services, together with ET Rapid Response, arrived on the scene to find that a man, believed to be in his 80s, was at home with his young grandchildren when robbers entered the premises.
“The man sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. The two children were unharmed during the incident, but were severely traumatised,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Services spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson.
The events leading up to the incident are unknown. SAPS was on scene and will be investigating.
