Possible water interruptions in the city’s southern and northern regions
Water tankers are already on standby to respond to affected areas.
Residents are informed of the possible interruption of water supply in some areas of the southern and northern regions.
The interruption is due to the uMngeni water pump failure at Inanda Dam which is restricting inflow to the eThekwini Municipality.
Repairs are currently underway to address this problem expeditiously.
The following areas may experience water shortages during the maintenance process:
• Northdene
• Verulam
• Buffelsdraai
• Trenance
• Ntuzuma
• Inanda
• Umzinyathi
• Aloes
• Avoca
• KwaMashu
• Kwasanti
• Demat
• Welbedatch West
• UMlazi C, part of D section, CC, K, P, N,F,G,H,W,Q,R,M,L,AA,BB
• Folweni
• Golokodo
• Nsimbini
• Nagina
• Luganda
Water tankers are already on standby to respond to affected areas.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and requests residents to use water sparingly.
