Top performers awarded at prize giving

The principal, Cheryl Ross, thanked parents, staff, school board and guardian panels who help learners to realise their God-given purpose.

BLUFF Christian Academy hosted its year-end prizegiving ceremony on Wednesday, December 8. Not only were the top learners awarded for their dedication and hard work but so were their teachers.

Principal, Cheryl Ross expressed her pride at the strides the school has made as it commemorates 21 years since its establishment this year.

In her address, she detailed the year-long activities the school had been involved in which included a 2.1k fun walk and run for its 21 years of existence.

Kirsty-Anne Stephens received the Senior Sports Girl of the Year award.

“There are many national and international events we celebrate during the course of the and at BCA we choose the ones that are educational and fun. BCA’s slogan is educating for eternity,” she said quoting Proverbs 22:6.

Grade 8 learners with their academic awards Tinashe Chakanyuka and Leah Soobramoney.

She said it is a privilege to partner with parents, staff, school board and guardian panels who make a difference in the lives of our children to help them realise their potential and God-given purpose in their lives.

Grade 9 learners with their academic awards Luthando Masondo, Kirsty-Anne Stephens and Talia Benisunker.

“I thank my staff for their dedication and commitment to our children. On behalf of the staff, parents and learners, I thank the school board who take time to meet when needed.

“And our guardian panel pastors who tirelessly sacrifice their time to counsel learners and minister at our assemblies every week.

“The prayers and support of these wonderful men of God are one of the backbones that makes the BCA strong,” she added.
