Woman assaulted and robbed, left at Cuttings Beach

The woman was abducted from a supermarket in the Durban CBD.

A WOMAN, believed to be in her 30s, was dropped off at Cuttings Beach on The Bluff after she was abducted, assaulted and robbed of her belongings in Durban CBD on March 13.

The woman was spotted by a Bluff resident who was passing by, who alerted the PT Alarms Tactical Unit.

Dhevan Govindasamy, PT Alarms Tactical Unit spokesperson, said, “The woman was accosted at a supermarket in the Durban CBD by three men. Two suspects were armed, and they allegedly abducted the woman by driving off with her in a white Polo. The suspects assaulted the victim and robbed her of her cellphone and cash. The suspects dropped the victim off at Cuttings Beach.”

Tactical unit members arrived at Cuttings Beach where they assisted the woman who had sustained various injuries and was visibly shaken up.

The case was reported to the Wentworth Police Station.
