Home affairs extends trading hours for school holidays

For the month of July, residents can make use of the extended trading hours at home affairs for applying and collecting Smart IDs.

THE Department of Home Affairs adjusted its operational schedule across all offices to facilitate the processing of Smart ID cards for students during the school holiday period.

Between July 1 and July 21, offices will remain open from 16:00 to 18:00, dedicating these additional hours specifically to application and collection services.

In addition, the department has launched an upgraded online booking system on the MyHomeAffairsOnline platform, introducing enhanced security measures to prevent the abuse of booking slots and improve access to services.

People are encouraged to book their application or collection slots through Branch Appointment Booking System on the official home affairs website. However, walk-ins will not be turned away.
