Robbery accused sentenced to 10 years in prison
According to the information presented in court, the victim was in his car when Blose pointed a firearm at him and demanded a cellphone.
THE Durban Regional Court recently sentenced an armed robber to 10 years’ imprisonment.
Sihle Brian Blose (42) was convicted of armed robbery committed on South Coast Road in Clairwood on November 25, 2025.
According to the investigating officer, Sergeant Bhekumuzi Dlamini, two officers from Montclair police station, Sergeant Mbalenhle Madiya and Sergeant Travis Bouverie, responded to a complaint about a man who had been shot and injured in Clairwood.

“When the two officers arrived at the scene, they found the accused lying down on the road. It was later discovered that he had robbed the driver of his cellphone,” said Dlamini.
According to the information presented in court, the victim was in his car when Blose pointed a firearm at him and demanded a cellphone.
“The driver retaliated by shooting the accused, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head. When the police arrived he was found lying on the side of the road. He was transported to hospital under police guard. The accused was subsequently arrested, prosecuted and convicted,” said Dlamini.
