Ratepayers and residents association aims to uplift community

The Yellowwood Park and Woodhaven Ratepayers and Residents Association, together with residents and businesses, embarked on a clean-up initiative outside the Yellowwood Park Civic Centre recently.

ARMED with grass-cutters, rakes and bin bags, among other garden tools, the Yellowwood Park and Woodhaven Ratepayers and Residents Association, together with residents and businesses, embarked on a clean-up initiative outside the Yellowwood Park Civic Centre recently.

Mark Holbrook, the chairperson of the association, said he thanked all those that joined in.

“It was great to see the community members and businesses who took the time to come out and clean the area. There was a lot of team work involved. The association’s aim is to uplift the area, by addressing the various service delivery concerns.

“We are on the road to achieving our goals and encourage more people to join in when we have these clean-up initiatives. Together, we can hopefully make our area beautiful again,” he said.
