THE Merebank Centre Park for the Aged and Disabled hosted a special day to honour senior citizens and persons with disabilities recently.

A ward committee member in Merebank, Neil Pather, said, “My team is always proud to assist the park with its various functions and to work alongside them in serving our community. We also assist with community work and service delivery initiatives wherever possible.”

The highlights of the day included live entertainment, meals and the opportunity for the senior citizens and persons with disabilities to come together and enjoy themselves.

“On this special day, I was deeply honoured to receive a recognition award for the work I have done in the community. I would like to thank Anderson Padayachee and his dedicated team, under the banner of the Merebank Centre Park for the Aged and Disabled for this meaningful recognition. I look forward to continuing to work together in serving and uplifting our community,” Pather added.
