NOTICE TO SUBMIT TENDERS FOR ITONKA SQUARE CLEANING CONTRACT Compliment

•Contract period: The contract will be awarded for an initial period from the opening date to 28th February 2027. If the contractor performs to the required standard during the initial period, then the contract may be renewed for a further 12 months, at the discretion of the Client.

•Cleaning chemicals to be provided Scope of Work The service provider will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the entire premises, excluding the internal areas of tenant`s premises. These areas are specifically defined as the `common areas`, including but not limited to gardens, parking areas, service passages, ablutions, management offices, taxi rank, paved walkways, communal seating area, staircases, escalators, refuse and yard areas etc. All staff will be required to attend to the mall during trading hours. Ablution attendants will be required to permanently attend the toilets during trading hours. The service provider will not be expected to include hygiene and pest control services within this contract. Should your company offer these services you may submit a quote separately. High level and specialized cleaning services to be quoted for on an annual basis separately. Hours of Work The working conditions must comply with the Basic Conditions of Employment. Contracts are to be priced as per the latest Government Gazette for minimum payments to the Cleaning Sector. Itonka Square will operate in accordance with the needs and requirements of the tenants. Therefore, the Centre will be required to operate 7 days a week, with minimum trading hours 8:00am to 8:00pm
•Monday to Sunday including public holidays. The service provider is required to develop the shift roster system in such a way that accommodates these operating times and ensure that the mall is sufficiently staffed at all times. Employees are not required to work overtime and the maximum of 45 hours per week per employee should be adhered to. Employees may only work overtime by prior arrangement and approval. Weekend shifts must therefore be compensated as per the Government Gazette for minimum payments to the Cleaning Sector and within the provisions of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Quality
