Inverters and medium-voltage (LV/33kV) step-up transformers (inverter stations) Cabling (DC, low-voltage and 33kV, typically underground) between the project components On-site 33kV collector substation (switchroom) 33kV overhead power line and/or underground cable (approximately 2.3km) to the authorised Watt Solar PV facility on-site substation
Additional 33kV feeder bay(s) and associated electrical works within the authorised Watt Solar PV facility on-site substation Temporary and permanent laydown areas, O&M buildings, security infrastructure, and fencing around the development area. Site and internal access roads up to 8m in width, where required. Environmental Assessment Process: In terms of Sections 24(5) of the National Environmental Management Act (No 107 of 1998), as read with the EIA Regulations, 2014, as amended, (GNR 324-327) a Scoping and EIA process is required to be undertaken in support of the application for authorisation, which includes public consultation. Review of Scoping Report: The Scoping Report compiled for the project is available for download from the Savannah Environmental website: www.savannahsa.com/PublicDocuments for a 30- day review period from 5 November 2026 to 7 December 2026. The final date to submit written comments is 7 December 2026.
