EDITOR – I have read recently about the enormous amount of ratepayers’ money required to renovate and maintain the magnificent old Durban City Hall, completely due to a lack of maintenance.
I sometimes think the Ethekwini Council has not yet heard of the word maintenance.
I think it would be a very good idea if our hardworking mayor, who just loves having her photos in all the newspapers, compiles all the photos and makes up a calendar. I am sure everyone would love a calendar of our mayor on the wall, as it would surely make enough to maintain these great buildings. I believe another organisation did it years ago and made a fortune.
