THURSDAY, 17 MARCH: Fynnlands Combined Sports Club AGM at 6.45pm. All paid-up members are urged to attend.

FRIDAY, 1 APRIL: A fundraising dance in aid of Wentworth Angels takes place at 47th Avenue Nite Club in Springfield Park, themed ‘memory lane and nostalgia’ from 9pm until 6am. Patrons will be entertained by DJ Preggie, Dr Alan and the legendary DJ Trevor Williams. THURSDAY, 7 APRIL: Fynnlands Combined Sports Club hosts an indoor night craft market between 6pm and 9pm. It promises to be a fun-filled evening with karaoke, sporting activities and more. Call Carol on 031-466-2010 for bookings. Stall fees for crafters are R50 and own equipment is required. Limited space is available, so book early.

THURSDAY, 14 APRIL: KwaZulu-Natal branch of the South African Military History Society will meet at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Murray Lecture Theatre, Department of Civil Engineering, University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College campus. There will be two talks and the topics will be ‘From mirror shined boots to the spirit of the bayonet’ by John Goodrich and ‘Iron Fist from the Sea’ by Lt Col Douw Steyn.
