Optic Fibre cables being installed in Pimville
Some residents object against the installation of optic fibre.
Some Pimville residents are concerned about optic fibre cables that have been installed all over the community.
They are worried as to how the system will benefit the community.
“I was not aware of the installations and it I think there was not enough consultation done,” said Tshepo Vana.
He said there are a lot of benefits that the community will get from these optic fibre cables.
Ward 22 councillor, Lizzy Mabaso said proper consultation was done even though there were difficulties, consultation was done.
“Theses optic fibre cables will bring Pimville closer to the world of information through more efficient communication systems,” she said.
She urged residents to attend public meetings that concern their well being and meetings that will benefit not only them, but also their children.
The councillor said more meetings will be held and more clarity will be provided.
