‘It is a community fight’
Drug dealers were warned that their time as drug dealers is coming to an end.

Community leaders and residents marched through Eldorado Park on Sunday, sending a stern message to drug dealers.
“We are saying that we are tired of drug dealers.
“Going forward we will speak one language,” councillor Peter Rafferty.
The march was led by ward councillors, the local drug action committee (LDAC) Mmusi Maimane and John Moody.
Maimane commended LDAC for their work done in the community.
“We all have been affected by drugs, I have family who is addicted to drugs.
“Drugs is a serious issue, Phantsi (down with) drug dealers,” Maimane said.
The lack of job opportunities leads to the use of drugs, said Maimane.
“People who can’t find jobs fall victim to the use of drugs,” he said.
If nothing is done about the sale and use of drugs, the community is allowing a generation of youth to belong to Tik, said Maimane.
The fight against drug abuse is a community fight.
“The community must get involved in the fight, drug abuse is our problem,” Maimane said.
