740 Early Childhood Development Practitioners to graduate

The Further Education and Training Certificates in Early Childhood Development will help practitioners to provide quality education to Pre Grade R pupils.

Tomorrow (May 9) the Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi will address 740 Early Childhood Development (ECD) Practitioners as they will graduate at a ceremony to be held at the New Image Lifestyle Conference Centre.

According to the Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson, Phumla Sekhonyane, these are candidates who have successfully completed courses to prepare them for the delivery of quality teaching and learning services to Pre Grade R pupils across the country.

Sekhonyane said: “The training was provided to make sure that our ECD Practitioners are qualified to provide quality education in the most appropriate way to Pre Grade R pupils and in environments which maximise academic, social and early childhood development.

“This preparation the practitioners undertook now gives them a full NQF level 4, Further Education and Training Certificates in Early Childhood Development qualification.”
