Protea North residents support Orlando West protesters

Protea North Residents are outside the Protea Magistrate Court chanting and protesting against the arrest of Orlando West protesters. 

A handful of them are standing outside court with boards demanding the release of the arrested protesters and for Eskom to shut down new prepaid systems.

Thabo Sithole, Protea North community spokesperson said that they will continue to support Orlando West protesters because they are fighting the same battle.

” We are here to support them because we are fighting the same battle.

“We are not happy with this new prepaid electricity and we demand that the police release those guys from Orlando West who were arrested,” said Sithole.
