Community mourns the death of a mother
Servant of the community will be remembered and missed by all those she has touched.
Arndene Alaard who was a faithful servant of the community will be remembered by her family, friends and colleagues as a woman of stature who went above and beyond her call of duty.
Alaard was called to rest on May 17 at the age of 50.
She was involved in various groups including churches, charity and the Local Drug Action Committee.
At her memorial and funeral services speakers unanimously spoke of her smile, style and genuine love for the community.
“Arndene had an amazing smile and eyes, she was always ready to do her duty.
“We lost an amazing hero,” Marlon Ebrhaim said.
The Liberated Ladies said her bubbly personality and smile will be missed.
Alaard would get out of bed to help search for missing people, she was dedicated in her faith and would always speak of the wonders of the Lord.
She was a mother to her children and those of the community.
“Arndene was a proud mother, she put Christ and Eldorado Park first,” Anne Adams said.
The Gail Britoe Foundation is another organisation saddened by her passing on.
“She was a great community leader, she had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anywhere.
“She loved the Lord and we believe the legacy she left will live on,” Ensley Britoe said.
The Sector Two CPF said Alaard was their pillar of strength.
Reyhanna Pitt said the Twilight Ladies said her smile, laughter, voice and the fun they had together will be missed.
“We lost an amazing lady,” Pitt said.
Alaard was laid to rest on Sunday.
