Family in dire needs of help after house caught fire

Family left in the cold.

Mapetla based Mokoena’s family is appealing to residents to help them with different kinds of donations including school uniform for children.

This came after their family house caught fire and everything in it was burned to ashes last week.

The family spokesperson Thabo Mokoena said the fire was caught by the electrical faulty on the plugs in the seating room.

“We don’t really know what really happened but I can confirm that the fire was started by one of the faulty electrical plug in the house.

“The fire destroyed everything including entertainment appliances, clothes, furnisher and even the children’s bedroom caught fire too and destroyed everything in the bedroom including blankets and bed and wardrobe.”

Mokoena said: “We are urging residents to please help us with any kind of help towards the crisis we are faced with at the moment, more especially for the children because their clothes were burned and uniform too.

“It is winter and they are left with nothing to wear and keep warm and they are exposed to sickness and this might affect their studies too.”

Residents who would want to help the family anyhow are urged to contact Mokoena on 072 400 3248.
