The body of a man was found hanging at the Westbury Open Grounds on Friday morning.
One resident who lives in Westbury and does not want to be named said she was on her way to work and just saw a body hanging by the stands.
“As I was walking through the grounds I saw a body hanging and immediately got so scared because I did not know that he was dead,” she said.
Sophiatown SAPS and Emergency Management Services were contacted and were on the scene.
Police said they will be investigating whether it is suicide or murder but suspect foul play.
This incident comes after a series of shootings in the Westside in which five have been killed.
