Ebuhleni celebrates national play day

Teachers and parents compete against each other for the championship title.

Ebuhleni Junior Primary School celebrated international play day with a day filled with activity between pupils and parents.

Forming part of the celebrations was entertainment from the school cultural group and some competitive activity between the school, pupils and parents.

Pupils competed against each other in their respective grades in a sag race, bean bags, woola woop and the egg and spoon game.

Adults competed against teachers from the school in netball and for the first time, the parents took the title Ebuhleni Netball of champions.

“I appreciate initiatives like these because they essentially give us the opportunity to bond with our children within the school context.

“This also allows a face to face session where a teacher is able to connect a child’s face to their parents and eventually take small steps to knowing the pupil with the parent”, said Fundi Mkhize, mother of precious Mkhize in Grade three.
