Dj Arch Junior celebrates Global handwashing day, Thabisang Primary
Washing hands regularly is the single most important hygiene step in fighting the spread of bacteria and other germs – the kind that can lead to stomach upsets, cold, flu and other serious health problems.
Dettol visited Thabisang Primary School in Orlando West to commemorate Global Handwashing Day.
GHD is a drive to motivate and mobilize masses around the world to wash their hands with soap and is committed to raising awareness of handwashing with soap as a fundamental tactic to disease prevention.

In an effort to prevent the often tragic consequences of poor hand hygiene, Dettol launched the Dettol Roadshow in 2006 visiting over 9,000 schools since inception. Included in the Roadshow was Thabisang Primary where Dj Arch Junior ( SA’s Got talent winner 2015) rocked the school with his Disc Jockey Skills.

The brand has reached over 3 million pupils through the programme.
Dettol representative and a member of The Global Hygiene Council, Dr. Kgosi Letlape said: “Hand hygiene is the primary measure to reduce infections and the most effective and inexpensive.
“It is very important that we amplify the message around hand hygiene and Dettol has done this through a lot of their global campaigns, the most recent being “Give Life a Hand”, which was launched in 2015 in South Africa,” said Letlape.
The brand indicated that in order to save more children’s lives, it is committed to changing handwashing behaviour and to reach out to more pupils, teachers and parents in schools through its initiative of the Dettol School’s Programme.
With this program, it aims to educate over 1.5 million pupils by 2020.
