Children aged 11 months, 5 and 3 years die in shack fire

Emergency Management Services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said they received a call at 2am notifying them of the fire.

Mulaudzi said: “When we got to the scene, we found that the three children were severely burnt and beyond recognition.

All of them were rushed to Baragwanath Hospital but did not make it.

“The youngest is 11 months, five years and three years old. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but a preliminary investigation is underway,” he said.
