The Sod turning ceremony took place at Moruta-thuto Primary School in Meadowlands Zone 1 where Gauteng MEC of Education, Panyaza Lesufi, district officers, former school principal were in attendance.

School principal Matshidiso Mashile said this marks the beginning of a historic day as the school will be getting a new facelift since its existence back in 1957.

Mashile said, “Tebogo Pooe is a former learner at the school and today he is back again to give back to his former school as they will be building a new admin block.
