A joint intelligence-driven operation by Eldorado Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, Crime Intelligence, and Traffic Wardens led to the arrest of an 35-year-old alleged murder suspect in Eldorado Park on April 21, after a month-long manhunt.
Eldorado Park SAPS media liaison officer Sergeant Fezeka Khobo confirmed that the suspect had been on the run since a murder was committed in March 2026.

“This was a well-coordinated intelligence-led operation. The suspect was traced and successfully arrested without incident,” said Khobo.
Acting on verified intelligence, officers moved to identified addresses, where the suspect was located at a house in Idaho Street, EXT 7, Eldorado Park.
The suspect, who matched the exact description circulated by investigators, was intercepted as he attempted to leave the premises carrying a bag containing clothing.
He was immediately arrested on a charge of murder and taken into custody at Eldorado Park SAPS cells for further investigation. He is expected to appear in court soon.
