Soweto families left distraught after couple goes missing

Mxolisi Sive and Nomhlanganiso Mpungose missing and loved ones are searching for answers.

A desperate search is underway for a young couple who went missing on February 2 around Soweto.

Mxolisi Sive, also known as Bafana, and his girlfriend, Nomhlanganiso Prudence Mpungose, were last seen together in White City, travelling to Meadowlands in their white Hyundai Grand i10 with registration number LT 81 BP GP.

The family of the missing couple has reported the matter to both the Moroka and Meadowlands SAPS and is now appealing to the community for any information that may help locate their loved ones.

Sive’s sister Emily Mazibuko confirmed that a case was reported. The family suspects that the couple may have been kidnapped, and their disappearance has left them in a state of distress.

The SAPS has launched an investigation into the matter, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Crime Stop Hotline on 08600 10111.

The community is asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may be related to the disappearance of the couple.
