Two suspects arrested in N12 triple murder case

The Gauteng Organised Crime Investigation Tracing Team and Anti-Gang Unit Detectives crack triple murder and multiple attempted murder case with the arrest of two suspects.

In a significant breakthrough, a joint operation conducted by the Gauteng Organised Crime Investigation Tracing Team and the Gauteng Anti-Gang Unit detectives on May 16 led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with a triple murder and multiple attempted murders along the N12 highway.

The SAPS members followed an investigative trail that led them to a residence in Protea Glen, which was identified as a hideout for the suspects.

Upon entering the premises, the members executed a consented search, during which the duo was positively identified as the wanted suspects.

The suspects were informed of their arrest on charges of murder and attempted murder. In a further twist, the 19-year-old suspect was found in possession of illegal narcotics, suspected to be crystal meth and mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R5 000.

“Both suspects are set to appear in court soon. The commander of the involved units has commended the relentless efforts of the teams, emphasising that the profiles of the suspects will be scrutinised to determine if they are linked to other ongoing investigations.
