Pimville mother speaks out after daughter’s sexual assault by alleged transport driver

The mother of a young girl is seeking justice after her daughter was kidnapped and raped by a known suspect who is believed to be a transport driver.

The mother of a 16-year-old from Pimville is seeking justice for her child who was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a scholar transport driver earlier this year.

The driver (54) was arrested after a rape case was registered with the police.

The child was allegedly found at the suspect’s house, where she was confined in a small room without windows.

The mother shared that the crime happened in February and she was assisted in opening a missing person case at the Kliptown Police Station.

She further revealed that her daughter is now pregnant and seeking justice.

The suspect made his first court appearance on June 26, where the matter was postponed to July 10.

Constable Dakalo Phemula ensured that investigations are still ongoing as the suspect remains in custody.
