Local musician driven by passion

His new Extended Play (EP) is currently making a buzz in the streets. It will be released on his birthday and it features three tracks titled Hamba, Ubuhle Bakho and Khotha.

Music fanatic, Sandile Hlatshwayo (42) known as Shang-Tsung is pleading with residents to be on the lookout for his new Amapiano single titled Khotha that will be released on March 30.

The Orlando East resident discovered his passion and talent while he was still in secondary school through listening to tracks by South African music veteran and hit maker, Mandoza.

Hlatshwayo mentioned that after discovering his passion he would later buy an empty cassette to record songs and later started writing his own songs.

“With over 27 years of experience in the music industry, I have accomplished six albums and three music videos and all the work I do is released under my ownership and label Londan Vandal Productions,” he said.

His new Extended Play (EP) is currently making a buzz in the streets. It will be released on his birthday and it features three tracks titled Hamba, Ubuhle Bakho and Khotha.

Hlatshwayo is also submitting his EP to radio stations and will soon be shooting a music video for Khotha in Orlando East and Diepkloof.

“I would like my music to reach as many people as possible so that they know about my craft and how passion and hard work has carried me throughout the years. Besides being in the music industry, I also have my own clothing label called Londal Vandal which sells T-shirts and caps. I sell them as my side hustle.”

The music lover advises young people and aspiring musicians to follow their dreams and use their talents to change the world.

“Rushing for riches and fame has been the downfall of many artists. let passion drive you to do what you love and everything will be a lot easier and fall into place.

“I believe in my craft and I believe that there is a lot of young people in our townships who are as equally gifted.”
