Local paddlers to take part in the SA Sprint Championships
In the SA Sprint Champs, the juniors will race within their own age group and Mzolo will be given a chance to showcase her paddling skills.

A number of local paddlers have been training hard to represent the country in the upcoming SA Sprint Championships.
The championships will be held in Germiston at the Victoria Lake Canoe Club from March 23.
A young nine year old Amile Mzolo took an early start towards the sprinting championships.

Mzolo who is a member of the Soweto Canoe and Recreation Club (SCARC) based at Power Park participated in all three of the trilogy series races earning position 15 in the under 16 age category.
This was quite an achievement, as she competed with 25 competitors that were older than her.
In the SA Sprint Champs, the juniors will race within their own age group and Mzolo will be given a chance to showcase her paddling skills.
One of the original founders of the canoe club, Ryno Armdorff participated in the trilogy but was not able to do all three races.

Kyle Armdorf won the junior category series for Under 16 and was followed by Phamna Mpambani, also very young to finish second in the Under 16 race.
Sbusiso Tyiki finished as the third junior and Someleze Zumbelo as the 11th.
