Orlando East model heads to Miss Teen Grand South Africa finals
"This is because I feel like when models are on the stage they only preach good things for the sake of winning but they don’t put action into it.”
Judith Sigauke is an 18-year-old pageant model from Orlando East in Soweto.
She is a finalist in the Miss Teen Grand South Africa competition.
Sigauke started doing modelling in the year 2020 when she was still 15 years old and her biggest highlight was when she travelled to Ghana last year to represent South Africa at the Miss Teen Tourism World contest.

“My mom’s younger sister is the one who inspired me to do modelling and I draw inspiration mostly from my mom.
“Former Miss Universe, Catriona Grey who was crowned in 2018 is my role model because she inspires young girls to raise their flags which has a fruitful impact in boosting their confidence,” said Sigauke.
Sigauke was also crowned Miss Teen Tourism International South Africa 2022. She spoke about how the local modelling industry is not given much credit because the organisers do these completions for personal gain and fun.
“These days we have organisers that organise pageants without an end goal and this is why local pageants are not taken so seriously,” she said.

“If I were to be given an opportunity to add something to local pageants, I would do pre-events that will help empower contestants before main events.
“This is because I feel like when models are on the stage they only preach good things for the sake of winning but they don’t put action into it.”
Sigauke will be competing with 42 other models across the country for the Miss Teen Grand South Africa title on June 16 at the Sandton Hotel. As a finalist, she is expected to do charity work in the community and ask for votes.
