Gatueng Social Development takes health programme to Dobsonville
The prgramme also provides locals with services such as assessment, investigation and counselling in cases of children.
The Department of Social Development in Dobsonville Service Point, Kopanong Centre is running programmes on HIV/Aids social and behaviour change to equip residents on social ills and how they can overcome them.
These programmes include psychosocial support which is aimed at children, youth and adults and social behaviour change which focuses more on families that are affected or infected by HIV/Aids.
The social behaviour change programmes are aimed at addressing behavioural factors that put residents at risk.

Furthermore, these programmes are said to assist the attendees in changing their mindsets and attitudes towards these social ills as well as to prioritise their relationships with their loved ones.
The department also provides services such as assessment, investigation and counselling in cases of children who are orphaned, abandoned, neglected, exploited and mentally abused including child-headed families.
The rendered services also extend to the following areas: Siphiwe Village, Mmesi Park, Doornkop/Thulani, Snake Park and Green Village.
