Man accused of rape and murder of Orlando girl (6) in court again
The funeral service of Amantle Samane took place at Orlando Communal Hall on October 31, and brought the community in large numbers.
The man accused of the rape and murder of Amantle Samane (6) will be making his second appearance in the Protea Magistrate’s Court today, November 1.
The Mozambican national, Sara Peta Simiao (24), allegedly lured Samane into his rented shack in Orlando East where he raped and strangled her to death.

Simiao was on the run but was eventually apprehended in Zola 1, bringing some relief to the grieving family and community.
He first appeared in court on October 25.
The community came together to bid farewell to Samane, with her funeral taking place at Orlando Communal Hall on October 31.
