CoJ Speaker spearheads inspection of spaza shops in Dobsonville
This was after there had been incidents of numerous children passing away and being hospitalised.

The City of Johannesburg’s (CoJ) Speaker of Council, Clr Nobuhle Mthembu together with the CoJ Health and Safety officials were inspecting shops in Dobsonville, Soweto on November 13.
The first shop that was closed down was on Khosa Street, where they found that the vendor was an illegal Ethiopian minor (16 years old) who was selling while the owner was Out.

The officials were met with a bed at the door leading into the shop. They also found expired goods and Viagra.

The shop also did not have Certificate of Acceptance documents which are permits allowing them the right to sell these goods.
