A heart-warming story of kindness and dedication has emerged from Shoprite in Eldorado Park, where a team of staff members over and above to assist elderly villagers in collecting their pensions.
Every month, a group of villagers accompanied by local volunteers Cynthia Smith and Cornelius Rass, visit Shoprite to draw their pensions.
Store manager Wiseman and admin manager Belukasie have consistently demonstrated exceptional respect and care towards the elderly group, ensuring a smooth and safe experience.

In particular, Wiseman has taken proactive measures to safeguard the villagers from potential theft during the peak season.
He set up a designated safe area within the store, providing an additional layer of security for the elderly.
The team’s compassion and patience have not gone unnoticed. Itumeleng expressed gratitude towards Wiseman, Belukasie, and the entire Shoprite team, acknowledging the challenges of working with the elderly.
