From personal safety to empowering community voices, SAPS takes proactive steps at Maponya Mall to protect and serve.

The SAPS continued with the Safer Festive Season awareness campaign at Maponya Mall on January 12.

Representatives from the provincial office corporate communication, inspectorate, and detective services were present to emphasise the importance of vigilance during shopping trips.

Shoppers were encouraged to be mindful of their belongings and stay alert in crowded areas, especially during the bustling festive season.

Pamphlets featuring vital information on gender-based violence (GBV) and general crime prevention tips were distributed, underscoring SAPS’s commitment to addressing societal challenges and promoting public safety.
A key highlight of the campaign was the introduction of the Rate-Our-Service initiative.
This programme invites the public to provide feedback on the quality of service they receive at their local SAPS stations.
