Rea Vaya buses on hold again in some parts of Soweto
The recent suspension follows after the bus service was stopped a week ago because of a shooting that took two drivers’ lives.
Passengers using the Rea Vaya bus system are advised that two routes, F9 for Mapetla to Thokoza Park and F10 for Pimville to Lakeview, are not operating, as communicated via the Rea Vaya Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts on the morning of February 13.

The City of Johannesburg suspended these services to implement safety and security measures.
Passengers using these routes are advised to make alternative arrangements until further notice.
The city will announce when the services will resume.
