Pimville learners benefit from Sanlam and PUBS community initiative
Sanlam and PUBS donated school supplies, clothing, and food to Thembu Primary School, helping learners with education and well-being while inspiring them to achieve future success.
In a bid to uplift communities through education, Sanlam and the NPO Pimville United Brothers and Sisters (PUBS) partnered to bring smiles and relief to learners at Thembu Primary School (TPS) in Pimville.
Under the theme Restoring Learners’ Dignity Through Education, the financial services company again extended its humanitarian gesture to TPS, continuing a commitment that has lasted for the past three years.

The school received laptops, school shoes, gloves, beanies, socks, snack packs, sanitary towels and toiletries, along with an additional donation of soya mince and packet soup to keep the learners warm and fed from Fina Matlakale of the Siphamandla NPO.
“Sanlam is proud to be part of this initiative, which will, in future, see this school produce presidents, doctors, lawyers and other influential leaders who will help shape the future of this country and rewrite the narrative of the black child,” said Zanele Mazibuko from Sanlam.

Parents came out in numbers to support their children, while being treated to the learners’ energetic performances of cultural and gospel music, choral renditions, gumboot dancing and poetry.
