New Bertrams school hosts Christmas event, boosts 2026 enrolments

The new Bertrams school celebrated its first Christmas event, showcasing its role in bringing quality education to an underserved community.

In a community where access to quality education has been limited for generations, the opening of Lepro Institute in January 2024 marked a turning point for families in Bertrams, Johannesburg.

Founded by Siphokuhle Ndlovu, the school was established with a bold mission: to offer quality, affordable education to children in an underserved community and ensure that every learner, regardless of background, feels valued, supported, and capable of achieving great things.

Lepro Institute hosted its first-ever Christmas in Bertrams event on December 5 – a festive community gathering designed to bring joy, unity, and opportunity to the neighbourhood.

The celebration showcased the school’s growing impact and gave families a chance to experience the nurturing environment that has already made it a trusted choice for parents seeking quality education.

Many parents used the opportunity to register their children for the 2026 academic year, recognising Lepro Institute as a beacon of hope and a safe, supportive learning space in a community that has long been overlooked.

Ndlovu said Lepro Institute has already changed lives, describing it as more than just a school – a place where children are seen, valued and supported, with its positive impact felt across the wider community.

“Our biggest mission is simple but powerful – to bring quality education to a community that has been overlooked for far too long.

“Christmas in Bertrams has demonstrated exactly what this school stands for: unity, joy, and a future filled with hope,” she said.

Lepro Institute continues to prove that real change begins in the classroom and spreads through the community – one child and one celebration at a time.
