Free hairdo for local learners
The learners can make their way to Diepkloof Square together with their parents or guardians from 09:00 to 16:00 and get a free fresh hairdo.
Kaboentle Women Power and Development Projects is inviting residents to join them in their annual Back to School campaign that will take place in Diepkloof Square from January 12 to 13.
According to Ntokozo Zwane of Kaboentle, the initiative is aimed at empowering local learners as they prepare for the academic year, as well as to give them renewed confidence as they step into the new year.
“The campaign is spearheaded by the Voice It In Action. Our aim is to provide free haircuts and styling to the learners.

“We are also scouting for sponsorship for school shoes, sanitary, and stationery packs that will also be donated to the learners. We are welcoming local businesses to assist us in making the lives of Diepkloof learners easier,” Ntokozo said.
She added that to be part of the campaign, learners should be accompanied by parents or guardians.
“We believe this will help restore the confidence of our learners because every learner deserves to look clean and presentable on their first day at school. We are inviting residents of Diepkloof to come through and be part of this great initiative.”
